In recent years, Bangladesh's two-wheel scene witnessed an uprise in terms of quality and safety-oriented riding. No matter what bike you ride, the right gear always puts you a step ahead and keeps you from wandering off to the odds.
Motorcycle accidents can have devastating consequences on a rider. Their vulnerability and exposure makes them susceptible to many fatal/nominal body injuries and even death.
Many studies indicate that a rider's head, legs, and arms are most likely to be injured in a collision. In light of these studies, it is essential that motorcycle riders wear protective clothing and gear in order to better protect themselves.

Well, since the beginning of modern-day biking in Bangladesh, the idea of using "certified" helmets and safety gears; spending a good bunch of money on these certain goods was not the most appealing thing to our "small displacement" community but surprisingly, in the last four to five years, the traits did come to a difference.
As soon as some companies began importing good gears to Bangladesh, the local market for motorcycle gears became competitive in no time and enabled a wide range of gears – helmets, gloves, body guards, jackets, shoes, and communication devices – go mainstream.
One such contributor to the motorcycle accessories market that emphasised on bringing quality safety gears for riders would be "GearX Bangladesh". This motorcycle gears and accessories distributor reshaped the use of "certified" helmets in the last few years; notably with its nominal-priced "Bilmola" and "KYT" helmets.
Currently standing out to be the largest motorcycle accessories distributor, GearX Bangladesh plans on bringing in performance-oriented goods too. With a wide range of enhanced gears and options to offer, this distributor will be a one-stop riders' accessories hub enabling further outreach in the mainstream riding scene.
Access to varieties of quality-ensured product lines has been a long-awaited desire for enthusiasts of our local biking scene. With such brands kicking in massive amounts, I personally think such platforms with a wider range of brands and product lines, are much needed.
For motorcyclists, "safety" was not a big concern until a few good brands were officially introduced in Bangladesh. KYT helmets certainly have been a big influencer for riders with its state-of-the-art product line. This brand also led sports-bike users to correlate good gears with their day-to-day riding.
The most used helmets in our current sports/naked sports bike riding scene would be KYT TT Course, NX RACE, and NF-R, not to mention the Suomy and Bilmola helmet lines as well.
Since biking is something that can get really intrapersonal and riders do like having choices, GearX Bangladesh has also introduced Icon riding gears along with its own locally manufactured line of motorcycle accessories which consists of options like jackets, gloves, bags, raincoats, and baggage.
The performance accessories market was also on the downside since small importers were only importing units in small quantities. However, GearX Bangladesh is officially merging with brands like RCB, FERROX & BMC, DID, Scottoiler, Cobrra, and many more to introduce a mass market for performance-oriented goods in Bangladesh.
This will enable riders looking for quality performance at the most precise deals to enhance their rides. All these brands are largely willing to provide meaningful upgrades to our motorcycling scene.
Accessories such as anti-fog films/PINLOCK for helmets (which are much needed during winter and rainy seasons to avoid internal misting) are being imported in large quantities which were indeed missing out among the mainstream gear options.
Since Bangladesh's motorcycling scene is just on the verge of stepping to the next level, access to quality motorcycle accessories has begun to get better.
It is a good sign that the mainstream riding scene is already being benefited with such aids. Whatever the vehicle may be, safety shall always be the first priority; many riders have become aware and so will the majority, gradually.
We hope to see further extensions of such platforms that focus largely on safety, styling, and performance goods for motorcyclists.
