Bangladesh is expected to sign a preferential trade agreement (PTA) with Bhutan soon to boost bilateral economic ties.
The two countries discussed the issue on Monday as Bhutanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Rinchen Kuentsyl met with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam.
They also talked about advancing cooperation in trade, education, health and information technology.
Also, Rinchen Kuentsyl showed interest in Shahriar Alam's proposal that Bhutan provides technical assistance in setting up a vegetable processing plant, reads a media statement of the foreign ministry.
