Bangladeshis mature enough not to fall into trap of religious violence: Adviser Fouzul to India
“Alas! India in spite of its better-educated population couldn’t come out of communal violence,” he also said
India has to realise that Bangladeshis are mature enough not to fall into the trap of religious violence, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan said today (3 December).
"India has to realise that, post-partition of the Indian subcontinent, Bangladesh population has matured enough not to fall into the trap of violence in the name of religion," he said in a Facebook post at 8:14am on the day.
He said no amount of provocations by India - both inside Bangladesh or from across the border- would "provoke our population to resort to violence against our fellow citizens, as brothers we will continue to protect our minorities from any harm".
He noted that this is a new Bangladesh, where communal violence has no place, with equal access and opportunities for all citizens irrespective of race and religion.
"Alas! India in spite of its better-educated population couldn't come out of communal violence," he added.
