Govt gave clear message to India that it wants good relations based on mutual interests: Foreign adviser
The first job of the interim government is to bring back stability in the country, says Md Touhid Hossain
The government has given a clear message to India that Bangladesh wants a good relationship with them based on the interests of both nations, said the Foreign Adviser of the interim government Md Touhid Hossain.
"We will go away after handing over power to the politicians through elections. The government aims to hand over power through a neutral and proper election. There are no doubts about that," the adviser said while exchanging views with various dignitaries at Narisingdi's Belabo upazila today (14 December).
"Our first job is to bring back stability in the country," he added.
Mentioning that the government wants good relations with everyone based on respect and equality, the adviser added the interim government is working to this end.
Various government officials and local dignitaries were present during the view exchange meeting.
