Pakistan high commissioner meets BGMEA administrator
They discussed a range of issues aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, particularly in the garment and textile sectors
Syed Ahmed Maroof, high commissioner of Pakistan in Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Anwar Hossain, administrator of BGMEA, at the BGMEA office in Dhaka today (6 December).
The meeting was also attended by Rezwan Selim, member of the BGMEA Support Committee, according to BGMEA a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed a range of issues aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, particularly in the garment and textile sectors.
Administrator Anwar Hossain emphasized the potential for exploring areas of cooperation between the two countries, highlighting Pakistan's strong presence in textile production and Bangladesh's leading position in garment manufacturing.
He underscored BGMEA's ongoing efforts to improve sustainability standards and advance innovation within Bangladesh's textile industry.
Maroof conveyed Pakistan's commitment to fostering greater economic collaboration and supporting the growth of the garment industry in both countries.
