6 more BTV stations will be installed soon: Information Minister

Information Minister Hasan Mahmud has announced that six more stations of BTV will be installed soon in various divisions of the country, in order to flourish more cultural mindset among the youngsters.
"The project had already passed the pre-ECNEC phase and its activities will start soon," Information minister as the chief guest gave a detailed speech on the importance of cultural programmes on young minds at the reception of the newly listed artists of Bangladesh Television's Chattogram center on Friday evening.
Minister Hasan also said "Although BTV Chittagong is located in Chittagong. It is not just merely a regional center, it is a national center. Those who are involved in the management of the center and the artists of the center should also keep this in mind."
"Earlier, singing programmes done in Chattogram were only available for Chattogram residents but now people from all over the country can see their performance. All the planning and performance have to be strategised by keeping the whole of Bangladesh in mind. One should not only portray the regional issues of that region while implementing their program" Hasan added.
Nitai Kumar Bhattacharya, General Manager of BTV Chattogram Center gave a welcome speech at the program hosted by Rashed Hasan and Ankhi Majumdar.
Special guests at the program were Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information Mizan Ul Alam, Ekushey Award winning playwright Ahmed Iqbal Haider.
