The director made the announcement through a Facebook post from his profile on Tuesday morning.
This year's session of the festival will run from 7 October till 17 October, and will feature both in-person and online screenings of selected films. The 11-day long festival has a relaxed and non-competitive atmosphere and is known for launching new films and filmmakers.

But Naima's passion for drawing colorful Alpana (motif) does prove financially rewarding. Eventually, she disguises herself as a boy to become a rickshaw puller in a big city, while her love for painting still persists.
The movie stars an ensemble cast that includes Naresh Bhuiyan, Allen Shubhro Gomes, Momena Chowdhury, and Champa among others.
