Andrew Kishore to be laid to rest on July 15
Andrew kishore's funeral will be completed when his daughter and son return from Australia
Renowned singer Andrew Kishore will be laid to eternal rest on July 15 beside his mother's grave at Christian cemetery at Sreerampur area in Rajshahi.
His brother-in-law Dr Patrick Bipul Biswas confirmed it to The Business Standard today.
"His expatriate son and daughter will return from Australia on July 8 and July 13 respectively. Andrew Kishore's funeral will be completed after they arrive," he added.
"His body will be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar of Rajshahi University at around 11:00 am on July 15 so that people could pay their last tributes to him," Dr Patrick also said.
"Andrew Kishore will be buried at the cemetery according to his wish. His brother and sister were also buried at the same cemetery," Dr Dipakendra Das, a close friend of the singer told reporters during a briefing on Monday night.
Andrew Kishore passed away on Monday evening at the age of 64. He breathed his last at his sister's house in the Mahishabathan area of Rajshahi at 6:55 pm.
The singer's body has been kept at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Andrew Kishore was born on November 4 in 1955. The renowned Bangladeshi playback singer's notable songs include Jiboner Golpo Achhe Baki Olpo, Dak Diyachhen Doyal Amare, Haire Manush Rongin Fanush, Amar Shara Deho Kheyo Go Mati, Amar Buker Moddhe Khane, Amar Babar Mukhe Prothom Jedin Shunechilam Gan, Bhengeche Pinjor Meleche Dana, and Shobai To Bhalobasha Chae.
He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer eight times for the films Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982), Surrender (1987), Khotipuron (1989), Padma Meghna Jamuna (1991), Kabul (1996), Aaj Gaye Holud (2000), Saajghor (2007) and Ki Jadu Korila (2008).
