Anoushka Shankar pays tribute to ‘Concert for Bangladesh’

Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushka Shankar has recorded a sitar performance on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence and Concert for Bangladesh.
The performance will commemorate 50 years of the independence of Bangladesh, 100 years of the nation's greatest leader, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the landmark 'Çoncert for Bangladesh', in which artistes like George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Anoushka's father, the legendary Ustad Ravi Shankar performed.
Anoushka previously performed at the Bangabandhu Innovation Grant 2020's gala festival. The artiste, who has been performing on stage since she was 9 years old, is known as a prodigy of sitar and one of the world's leading exponents of the instrument.
Anoushka Shankar's performance was recorded on 25 February at Abbey Road Studios in the UK. Founded in 1933, Abbey Road Studios is one of the most famous and elite studios in the world. It is well known for the world-famous band Beatles.
Anoushka Shankar termed the recording time at the studio which bears the memory of George Harrison as memorable moments, said Farhad.
