Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond coming on HBO Max
Starting in 2021, series and movies like Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, and Batman: Bad Blood will become available to HBO Max subscribers
Classic 90s cartoons Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond will finally release on HBO Max in January.
Batman: The Animated Series aired for two seasons, from 1992 to 1995, following both Bruce Wayne as Batman and his sidekick Dick Grayson as Robin. Batman Beyond aired over the course of two years, from 1999 to 2001, and followed a different Dark Knight, Terry McGinnis - though he was mentored by an older Bruce Wayne. Both shows are well loved by those who grew up watching them or have since checked out the series.
A number of beloved DC titles are moving from DC Universe to HBO Max on January 1st. Starting in 2021, series and movies like Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, and Batman: Bad Blood will become available to HBO Max subscribers. Other DC titles available on other streamers, including Superman: Doomsday and Superman: Man of Tomorrow, will also be available on HBO Max.
The move isn't too surprising considering DC previously announced its DC Universe streaming service will transform into a comics-exclusive platform, to be called DC Universe Infinite, beginning on January 21st. Shows and films still on DC Universe will make their move over to HBO Max throughout the month.
