The film "Robibaar" won 2 awards at the Madrid Festival, Jaya Ahsan won the award for Best Lead Actress while director Atanu Ghosh received the award for Best Original Screenplay of a Foreign Language Film, reports Jagonews24.
Jaya Ahsan won the award after competing with 18 other actors nominated in the Best Lead Actress category.

The actress congratulated the director and the entire team of "Robibaar" crew members for their win at Madrid.
Jaya posted on her official Facebook account saying, "What a great news for all of us in such difficult times! Congratulations to you, Atanuda, lots of love."
Robibaar previously won big at the Bengali category of The Critics' Choice Film Awards 2020. Atanu Ghosh bagged both the Best Director and Best Writing awards.
Robibar, directed by National Award-winning film-maker Atanu Ghosh, starred popular Bangladeshi actor Jaya Ahsan and West Bengal actor Prosenjit Chatterjee as two former lovers running into a chance meeting with each other.
