Mosharraf Karim in home quarantine after shooting for 'Dictionary'

Actor Mosharraf Karim recently starred in a film titled "Dictionary," which is directed by West Bengal politician and actor Bratya Basu.

After returning to Bangladesh, he placed himself under home quarantine. From there, he spoke to The Business Standard.

The actor informed that shooting had begun from March 5 at Kolkata's famous Coffee House. Some of the scenes were also shot across iconic places in the city.

"We worked for a week in two houses in Kolkata, few cafés and several other neighbourhoods," he informed this correspondent.  

Praising the production team, he said, "The whole team was very organised and professional. It was key to execute the plans perfectly, and they did it. As a result, the shooting was completed within a short period of time and without any hassle."

The two-part story was taken from writer Buddhadeb Guha's "Shami Howa" and "Baba Howa". Mosharraf Karim plays a part in the part "Baba Howa". The cast includes other stars such as Paloumi Dasgupta and Abir Chattoypadhyay

Apart from shooting for the film, Mosharraf Karim also spent a day with his fans in Kolkata. "It was a great experience," he said. "So many people in Kolkata were excited to see me, it felt amazing. Given the chance, I would like to work there again."

Mosharraf Karim started his acting career in 1990, with the theatre troupe "Natyakendra." He staged the drama "Bichchu" with his troupe in Kolkata in 1991.

He began acting in television from around 2003-2004. He rose to prominence with the telefilm "Carrom", which was directed by Mostofa Sorowar Farooki. The telefilm also had a follow-up sequel because of its popularity.

Mosharraf Karim was last seen in the feature film "Komola Rocket," directed by Noor Imran Mithu. The film was adapted from two short stories by Shahaduzzaman. Apart from these, he has worked in numerous television dramas.
