‘No Dorai’, ‘Fagun Haway’ jointly win Best Film Award-2019 

"No Dorai" and "Fagun Haway" have jointly been announced as the best films of 2019 while Taneem Rahman Anghshu, director of "No Dorai,' has been selected for the Best Film Director Award. 

Besides, Tariq Anam Khan and Sunerah Binte Kamal have been announced respectively as the best actor and actress of 2019. 

The Ministry of Information disclosed the names of National Film Award-2019 winners in the form of a gazette on Thursday afternoon, as recognition of extra-ordinary contribution to the film industry. 

This year's National Film Awards will be given to artists, directors, institutions and films under 26 categories. 

Eminent film actor Sohel Rana and actress Suchanda jointly won the lifetime achievement award of 2019 for their contributions to the film industry.

The Best Villain Award was given to Zahid Hasan for the movie "Shapludu." Best actor in a supporting role was given to veteran actor Fazlur Rahman Babu while the Best actress in a supporting role was given to Nargis Aktar for "Maya: The Lost Mother."

Best Short Film Award went to the movie "Nari Jibon" while the Best Documentary Award was presented to "Ja Chilo Ondhokare." 

The award for best child artist was won jointly by Naimur Rahman Apon for the movie "Maya: The Lost Mother" and Afrin Akhter for the movie "Jodi Ekdin."

The award for best dance director went to Habibur Rahman for the movie "Moner Moto Manush Pailam Naa."

The award for best music director was given to Emon Chowdhury for the movie "Maya: The Lost Mother."

The award for best singer (Male) was given to Mrinal Kanti Das for the song "Tumi Chahiye Dekho" from the movie Shuttle Train. 

The award for best singer ( Female) was jointly won by Momtaz Begum for the song "Barir oy Purbodhare" and Fatima Tuz Zahra Oyshee for the song "Maya Maya re" for the movie "Maya: The Lost Mother."

Award for Best Lyricist was also jointly won by Nimlendu for the song "Isteshon ey jonmo amar"  for the movie "Kalo Megher Bhela" and Kamal Abdur Naser Chowdhury for the song "Chol he Bondhu chol"  for the movie "Maya: The Lost Mother."

The award for Best Music Composer was jointly won by Plabon Koroshi for "Barir oy Purbodhare" from the movie and Tanvir Tarek for "Amar Mayer Achol" for the movie "Maya: The Lost Mother."

Masud Pathik won the award for the best story writer for the movie "Maya: The Lost Mother."

Mahboob Rahman won the award for best screenplay for "No Dorai." 

Zakir Hossain Raju won the award for best dialogue writer for the movie "Moner Moto Manush Pailam Naa."

Zunaid Ahmed Halim won the award for best editing for the film "Maya: The Lost Mother."

Best Art direction award was jointly won by Mohammed Rohmot Ullah Basu and Mohammed Farid Ahmed for the movie "Moner Moto Manush Pailam Naa."

Best cinematography award was given to Sumon Kumar Sarker for the movie "No Dorai." 

Best Sound Recording award was given to Ripon Nath for the movie "No Dorai."
