Selena Gomez reveals she has bipolar disorder

Singer and actor Selena Gomez has recently shared that she has bipolar disorder. She revealed this to Miley Cyrus over a virtual conversation.
Selena and Miley, both rose to fame as Disney channel stars. In Cyrus' Instagram show "Bright Minded," Selena candidly talked about her health.
"Recently, I went to one of the best mental hospitals in America, McLean Hospital, and I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things, I realized that I was bipolar," Gomez said. "And so when I got to know more information, it actually helps me. It doesn't scare me once I know it."
The two singers reconnected, after Selena left a butterfly emoji in a comment section of Miley's Instagram post.
"I'm so happy to have you on the show and got to reconnect," Miley told Selena. "Send me butterflies any time. When all this has moved on and we can connect, we'll just hug."
Miley added that during the covid-19 lockdown, she's found herself "writing a lot" to help her process what's going on.
Selena advised people who are not taking self-isolation seriously to please think of those "sacrificing their lives, adding that she has donated money to hospitals.
The two singers also urged others to donate to non-profit and charity organizations aiding in the frontline of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier in 2017, Selena had to go through a kidney transplant surgery due to complications from Lupus.
Francia Raisa, a close friend of Selena, donated her kidney for Selena.
