Actor Tarik Anam Khan is in shock hearing the demise of Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee. Remembering the actor, Tarik Anam said that he had grown up watching movies of Uttam, Suchitra, Soumitra and Arpana. Though they were working at the same platform, it was very unfortunate for him that he never got the opportunity to share a screen with him.
"There is no doubt that that Soumitra was a great performer. With his outstanding performance, he used to leave everyone speechless," Tarik Anam said regarding the Veteran actor.
"He used to work on stage regularly. I remember, once he performed in a drama – titled Tiktiki –in a celebration of Nagorik's 25th anniversary. I was mesmerized by his performance," added Anam.

Anam continued saying, "After that show, I got lucky to sit down and talk with him and there I asked how and why he is acting for so many years. He replied that he is working as his grandson has cancer and he has to bear all the medical expenses. I had no words to express. His answer made me realise that since the beginning he had always been honest to his work."
