Taqdeer bags glorious ‘Hat Trick’ at the Safekeeper Channel i Digital Awards

Hoichoi series "Taqdeer" took home three of the biggest awards at the Safekeeper Channel i Digital Awards on Friday night. 

Chanchal Chowdhury won the Best Actor award, followed by Syed Ahmed Shawki receiving the award for Best Director and Taqdeer winning the Best Web Series award, said a press release. 

Taqdeer, chronicles the story of a man who gets entangled in a scandal after discovering a corpse in his freezer van. On its release, the series gained immense appreciation and rave reviews from critics and audiences worldwide. 

Speaking of the wins, Syed Ahmed Shawki, co-creator and director of the series, said, "I am grateful to hoichoi for believing in me and the story, for making it possible to take the story to so many countries and reaching so many audiences." 

Actor Chanchal Chowdhry, who essays the role of the protagonist, Taqdeer, said, "I was very confident about the show from the moment I heard it but the applauds still took me by surprise."

"Taqdeer being my first International show is always going to be very special to me. I feel honoured and I'm counting my blessings as I take home this award. I have my audience, the team of Taqdeer and hoichoi to thank, added Chanchal.

Taqdeer, a Film Noir and Film Syndicate Production is written by Neyamutullah Masum and Syed Ahmed Shawki, featuring Chanchal Chowdhury in the lead role. 

The eight-episode series is available on hoichoi in Bangla, dubbed in Hindi, with English subtitles.
