‘The Witcher’ production continues after Henry Cavill is injured on set
The actor reportedly sustained a minor leg injury while shooting at Arborfield Studios
"The Witcher" continues production of its second season despite its star, Henry Cavill missing out from the shooting.
The actor reportedly sustained a minor leg injury while shooting at Arborfield Studios, west of London, reports Deadline.
Cavill is expected to be sidelined for a short period of time, with The Witcher filming around him.
According to UK's "The Sun", which first reported the accident, Cavill hurt his leg while on an assault course, working at a height of 20ft while wearing a safety harness.
Production on the fantasy show was already halted twice this year — first in March, when actor Kristofer Hivju announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19.
That hiatus lasted through mid-August during the UK's spring lockdown. Production resumed, though paused again in November when multiple positive coronavirus cases surfaced.
Netflix's fantasy epic is one of the streamer's biggest hits, with the first series watched by 76 million households. Cavill stars as Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove to be more wicked than beasts.
