This year's Folk Fest postponed due to Covid-19

South Asia's biggest festival of folk songs, Dhaka International Folk Fest, will not be held this year due to the coronavirus situation in the country.

Sun Foundation, the organising institution of the festival, has made the announcement on Monday in a statement.

The folk fest is organised every year in the capital's Army Stadium since 2015. It turns into a great festival in presence of thousands of audience and performances by local and international singers.

The festival will be organised next year once the situation returns to normalcy, Sun Foundation added in the press release.
