CU Debate Fest 2025 kicks off tomorrow at Chittagong University
Chittagong University Debating Society (CUDS) is set to host the CU Debate Fest 2025 on January 24 and 25. The two-day English debate festival will feature exciting rounds of competition and engaging activities.
The first day of the festival will include a five-round debate competition at the Faculty of Business Administration. On the second day, the festival will conclude with the final debates and a closing ceremony, which will be held at the Zilla Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Chattogram.
This year's event will follow the British Parliamentary (BP) Debate format, with 24 teams competing. Over 50 students, including participants from leading universities in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Khulna, will join the competition. The debates will be adjudicated by the country's best judges alongside invited experts.
The festival is supported by Berger Paints and Young Power in Social Action (YPSA). Founded in 1996, the Chittagong University Debating Society has been dedicated to nurturing debaters and fostering a culture of intellectual discourse. The CU Debate Fest 2025 is a continuation of its mission to promote critical thinking and raise awareness among the younger generation.
