30 killed in two mass shootings in US
The El Paso mass shooting appears to be one of the deadliest shootings in modern US history.
At least 30 people were killed in two mass shootings in the United States in just 24 hours.
The first shooting, which left 20 people killed and dozens more injured, took place on Saturday at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, when a gunman armed with a rifle began firing before being arrested, said authorities.
The mass shooting in El Paso appears to be the deadliest shooting, making it one of the ten worsts in modern American history.
Meanwhile, another incident of mass shooting left at least 10 people killed and an unknown number of others wounded at Dayton in Ohio on Sunday, reports Reuters quoting local television and newspapers.
The motive behind the shooting was not immediately clear, and investigators believe the individual had acted alone, Carper said. The authorities did not disclose the shooter's identity.
There were at least 20 shootings in 2018 that fit these parameters.
