Everyone must unite to counter fascist cohorts destabilising Bangladesh: Jamaat leader Parwar
We will not fall into their traps. Unity is essential to counter these forces, he says
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar today (28 November) called for unity to resist cohorts of fascism at both home and abroad, who are attempting to destabilise Bangladesh.
"We will not fall into their traps. Unity is essential to counter these forces," he said after visiting the grave of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, who was killed in an attack by alleged Iskcon members, in Chattogram.
"Whatever provocative actions Iskcon may undertake, we must respond with exemplary patience," he added.
Accusing Iskcon he said the organisation of attempting to ignite communal violence in the country.
The Jamaat leader said seeing the rising potential of Islamic movements, fascist cohorts are laying traps to suppress them. "We will not fall for such deceptions. We will face all challenges with patience and preserve the beauty of Islam."
Addressing party members, Parwar said, "Whatever is destined for us will come to pass, as we believe in predestination. But we must avoid falling into the traps of extremists spreading chaos and disorder.
"No matter how great the challenges, we must exhibit the highest level of patience and follow the directives of the party."
