Turkish Airlines suspends Dhaka flights till July 7
Turkish Airlines has suspended all flights from Dhaka from July 3 to 7, including the one which was scheduled to depart from the capital on Friday.
The new development came after the Turkish government had decided to stop flights from the countries reporting fresh Covid-19 cases, a senior executive of the airlines told The Business Standard.
Turkish Airlines got approval for resuming commercial flights from Dhaka on June 28. They were supposed to operate three flights per week.
Bangladesh's Covid-19 count crossed the grim milestone of 1.5 lakh-mark on Thursday with 4,019 fresh cases, taking the country's total caseload to 153,277.
Meanwhile, the number of fatalities from Covid-19 infection has reached 1,926.
