EBL holds annual risk conference
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has organised its Annual Risk Conference 2024 with the objective of navigating risk through vigorous risk assessment and ensuring prudent risk management.
The day-long conference, held today at EBL's head office in the city's Gulshan area, reviewed the bank's liquidity risk, market risk, operational risk, credit risk, and core risks and discussed the way forward for the bank's overall risk management.
A.N.M. Moinul Kabir, Director of the Department of Off-Site Supervision (DOS-2), Bangladesh Bank, attended the conference as the Chief Guest, while Surabhi Ghosh, Additional Director of DOS-2 and Mahmuda Haque, Joint Director of DOS-2, Bangladesh Bank were also present.

EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar presided over the program, and M. Khurshed Alam, Chairman of the Executive Risk Management Committee, was the keynote speaker.
Deputy Managing Directors of the bank, Heads of the Divisions, Senior Executives and Senior Managers of EBL from across the country participated in the conference organised by the Risk Management Division of the Bank.
