Body of girl recovered from Purbachal lake

Police have recovered the body of a girl from a lake in Purbachal of Narayanganj's Rupganj.
The deceased was identified as Sujana, 18, a 12th grade student of Bhasantek Government College in the capital, said Senior Assistant Superintendent of Narayanganj Police (C Circle) Mehdi Islam.
The body was found floating in the Bowertek area of Purbachal this morning (17 December).

"Around 8:30am, locals spotted the body of a girl floating in the lake and informed us. We promptly recovered the body," Mehdi said.
The police official further mentioned that the body had several injury marks.
The body has been sent to the Narayanganj Medical College morgue for autopsy, he added.
