Al Arafah Islami Bank elects new Deputy Managing Director
Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) PLC has appointed Prominent Banker Mohammad Rafat Ullah Khan as Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Risk Officer.
He has more than 30 years of experience and expertise in the banking industry. Before joining Al-Arafah Islami Bank, he served as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), CRO and CAMLCO at NCC Bank PLC.
Janab Mohammad Rafat Ullah Khan began his banking career as a Probationary Officer of the First Batch at Eastern Bank PLC in 1994. Later, he held significant and leading positions at BRAC Bank, Dutch Bangla Bank, and Prime Bank. He has a diversified career in different banking sectors, such as credit risk management, corporate banking, product development, and process and policymaking in Islamic and conventional banking across the branches and head office.
Janab Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan obtained his Postgraduate Degree in Statistics from the University of Dhaka. Earning an MBA from a reputed private university also significantly increased his professional abilities.
For professional needs, he has attended seminars and workshops domestically and internationally, including in Nepal, Thailand, and UAE.
