National Bank hosts Chattogram regional business conference

National Bank hosted its Regional Business Conference (Chattogram) on Saturday, 28 December, 2024, at the Jhinuk Hall of the Best Western Hotel in Agrabad, Chattogram. The event was graced by Abdul Awal Mintoo, Chairman of National Bank, as the Chief Guest.

The conference saw the attendance of Md. Abdus Satter Sarkar, Chairman of the Audit Committee and Independent Director; Professor Dr. Melita Mehjabeen, Independent Director; Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director and CEO; Sheikh Akhter Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director; Md. Abdul Matin, Deputy Managing Director; A.S.H. Helal Uddin, Regional Manager of Chattogram; along with managers and operations managers of 38 branches and nine sub-branches in the Chattogram region.

Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo stated that National Bank plays an indispensable role in the country's economy, consistently contributing to the garment, agriculture, and small and medium enterprise (SME) sectors. He urged branch managers to prioritise recovering classified loans, increasing deposits, and enhancing customer service quality. Additionally, he emphasised the need for enthusiasm in introducing attractive deposit products, underscoring that customer trust and satisfaction are the cornerstones of the bank's sustainable growth.

Managing Director and CEO Md. Touhidul Alam Khan highlighted the importance of enforcing legal measures to recover loans from major defaulters in the Chattogram region.
