Advocate Farzana Khan appointed as independent director of Bank Asia PLC
Supreme Court lawyer Farzana Khan has been appointed as an independent director of Bank Asia PLC.
She informed The Business Standard that she joined the bank as an independent director on January 16 after the bank's board, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and Bangladesh Bank confirmed her appointment.
Farzana Khan has been practicing as a lawyer for 16 years with a reputation in company law, corporate and revenue-related cases. She has vast experience in dealing with domestic and international arbitration and mediation.
Farzana Khan rendered her service as a newscaster for two leading TV channels for 10 years.
She Born in Sylhet in 1979. Farzana Khan spent her childhood and adolescence in Sylhet. Her father was a businessman, mother is a housewife. She is the eldest of two sisters and one brother. She passed her SSC from Blue-Bird High School in Sylhet and HSC from Sylhet Government Women's College. She completed her post -graduation from a prestigious educational institution.
