The anti-graft agency has sent letters to the KCC, income tax office and other offices concerned seeking information about Khaleque, his wife Habibun Nahar and his other associates.
Abdul Wadud, Deputy Director of ACC, told BSS that they have started the investigation formally after receiving a letter from their head office in Dhaka.
"We need information about his associates to investigate the corruption of former mayor Talukder Khaleque," he said.
For this reason, they have given a letter to KCC to get information about the contractors as business partners of Khaleque, he added.
