IPDC meets the business community of Rajshahi
IPDC Finance PLC hosted a dialogue at Grand River View Hotel, Rajshahi, to discuss opportunities for affordable housing and small and medium enterprise (SME) development. Economic, educational, business and industrial leaders explored Rajshahi's economic development potential.
Key discussion topics included affordable home loans, SME business prospects, and the region's social development needs.
The meeting emphasised Rajshahi's unique potential for economic progress. Participants highlighted key areas for investment and collaboration, such as business opportunities, the needs of the local business community, and the necessity of social development, affordable housing, and SME growth.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Abul Kalam Azad, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, said, "I believe Rajshahi holds immense strategic importance in the country's economic landscape. Through joint efforts and increased financial literacy, we can empower the SME sector and ensure affordable housing for the people of Rajshahi."

Representatives from Bangladesh Bank, Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh Silk Industry Owners Association, Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with faculty members from Rajshahi University, Rajshahi Medical College Teachers Association, Real Estate and Developers Association, and BSIC Industry Owners Association were present at the event.
Participants stressed the need for targeted investments and strategic actions in affordable housing, SMEs, and social infrastructure development. With the right financial solutions and policy support, Rajshahi can emerge as a thriving commercial and economic hub, contributing to Bangladesh's overall development.
