The timeframe for sending selected workers to Malaysia's plantation sector has been extended until 31 March.
The information was disclosed in a notification today (28 January), signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Gazi Md Shahed Anowar.
The notification instructed selected workers in the plantation sector to complete all procedures, including obtaining visas, by 15 February.
The government has set the maximum migration cost for a worker at Tk78,740.
Selected workers have also been advised not to pay money to anyone other than an approved recruiting agent.
