The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement brought a coffin procession protesting the death of Abul Kashem, who succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital following an attack on students in Gazipur.
Abul Kashem passed away in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 3pm today. Later, at 9:30pm, students carried out a coffin procession from the Central Shaheed Minar to Shahbagh.
During a funeral gathering at the Shaheed Minar premises before the march, Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, urged the interim government to impose a ban on Awami League.
"It was a collective failure that we have been unable to ban Awami League even after six months," Hasnat said.
"With Kashem's body before us, we take an oath to ban the Awami League," he added.

Akhtar Hossain, member secretary of the National Citizens Committee, said a UN report explicitly states crimes against humanity were committed on the streets in July under the orders of "murderer Hasina."
He asserted that a fair trial would ensure her [Hasina's] punishment.
Arif Sohel, member secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said even six months after the mass uprising, students continue to be targeted by "Awami terrorists."
He demanded accountability from the interim government and vowed that "their movement would not stop until the Awami politics is wiped out from the country."
