Bihar DGP: 50 cr withdrawn from Sushant Singh's account, but Mumbai Police silent on lead

Sushant Singh's death has led to series of ongoing battle of words between the Bihar Police and Mumbai Police.

Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) questioned the Mumbai Police as to why they did not investigate the money trail while probing the suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, reported by Times of India.

The Bihar GDP said, In the past four years, around Rs 50 crore was credited to the bank account of Sushant Singh Rajput but surprisingly all of it was withdrawn. In one year, Rs 17 crore was credited to his account, out of which Rs 15 crore was withdrawn. Isn't this a crucial point to be investigated? We are not going to sit quite. We will question them(Mumbai Police) as to why such leads are hushed up."

Amidst Bihar Police's criticism, Param Bir Singh, Mumbai Police commissioner gave a public statement earlier, rebuking some of the previous claims. And revealed their progress in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Param Bir Singh elaborated that they had already interviewed 56 witnesses regarding the high-profile case. Also rullled out an alleged party thrown at Sushant's residence before the actor's death.

The Bihar Police had a row with the Mumbai Police when Bihar chief expressed his anger over Vinay Tiwari's quarantine. The SP rank officer was quarantined by Mumbai municipal authorities.

"Instead of sharing evidence or handing over the postmortem and forensic reports of Sushant, they (Mumbai) have almost house arrested our SP. I have not seen such non-cooperation by any other state police. If the Mumbai Police are sincere in their approach, they should share the investigation with us," said Pandey, Bihar's top cop.

The Sushant Singh Rajput case has reached new heights as the beef between the two branches has been extremely high for a few days. With fingers being pointed, there's a growing concern over proper investigation procedure and justice being done.
