Former health minister’s wife loses battle to cancer
She breathed her last at 9.45 pm on Wednesday at Square Hospital in the capital.
Former health minister, also Bangladesh Awami League Advisory Council Member and Member of Parliament of Satkhira-3, Prof Dr AFM Ruhul Haque's wife Ila Haque has died from cancer.
She breathed her last at 9.45 pm on Wednesday at Square Hospital in the capital.
Dr AFM Ruhul Haque confirmed the news of her death through a post on his personal Facebook account and requested everyone to pray the departed soul of his wife. She left behind a son and a daughter.
Ila Haque had been undergoing treatment for cancer for a long time and lost her battle with the disease in the end. Her funeral will be held at Nalta in Kaliganj on Thursday.
Meanwhile, leaders and activists of Awami League have mourned her death.
