After six successful seasons, "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj" has finally come to an abrupt end. The comedian announced this Tuesday that the show's run was officially over.
Minhaj took to Twitter to break the news. He wrote, "What a run. Patriot Act' has come to an end. I got to work with the best writers, producers, researchers, and animators in the game. My 2 babies were born and grew up with the show. TY to @netflix and everyone who watched."
"Now it's time to return these screens to Best Buy," The comedian concluded with a joke.

The talk-show has been highly regarded by the international audience. As it covered several worldwide current, political, and cultural issues especially those too controversial for the mainstream talk show medium.
In an interview with Variety magazine, Minhaj elaborated on his experiences with the show.
"It allowed me to break out of the cognitive framework of being in the late-night world with multiple Jimmy's because I was not speaking to the North American audience anymore, I'm speaking to the world," the comedian said.
The show gathered praise for the comedian turned talk show host, earning him an Emmy and a Peabody for his unapologetic work.
However, this brought restrictions along as well. Just last year, his critical piece on Saudi Arabia was banned by the Saudi Government. And Patriot Act's episode on the 1MDB scandal received massive praise from the global audience.
