Community Bank formally inaugurates its first school banking booth
Community Bank Bangladesh Limited inaugurated its first School Banking Booth at Shaheed Police Smrity College on 20 August 2020. S M Ruhul Amin, Additional Inspector General of Police (HRM) has formally inaugurated the first school banking booth in presence Masihul Huq Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Community Bank and teachers of Shaheed Police Smrity College. The objective of the bank is to make banking transactions available to the students and to encourage the habit of saving from the early stage of life. It will also facilitate both the guardian and school authority for tuition fees collection in near future.
During the event, S M Ruhul Amin, Additional Inspector General of Police (HRM) said, "Community Bank has arrived to School level to facilitate school banking services with innovative banking solutions for the students of Shaheed Police Smrity College. I believe this school banking initiative will create saving habits and will ensure access to digital banking and facilitate the students and guardians to make easy payment in future.
Commenting on the event Masihul Huq Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Community Bank Bangladesh Limited, said, "We are already aware of the significant activities of the present government which started its journey towards being a developed country by 2041. The Community bank will work with the general people to continue the implementation of the government's development plan and move ahead with progress."
Ferdoush Ali Chowdhury, AIG (Welfare Trust), Bangladesh Police & Director of Community Bank and Abdul Qaium Khan, SEVP & CITO and other high officials of the Bank of the Bank were present in the meeting.
