Court summons Ramu OC for delay in submitting evidence list in case against Shipra
: Although police initially claimed to seize only liquor and marijuana from the resort, later they mentioned a list of 29 evidences including camera and laptop
Police filed a case with Ramu police station against Shipra Debnath in connection with the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed in Cox's Bazar on August 1 and sent a list of evidences related the case to the court five days later.
A Cox's Bazar court sought an explanation on August 20 from Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ramu police station Abul Khair for the delay in submitting the list of evidences.
The Ramu OC has to appear before the court within the next seven days to explain the reason for the delay.

Teknaf police shot Sinha dead at Shamlapur APBn check-post in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar. Police filed two separate cases with Teknaf and Ramu police stations over the incident.
Sinha's sister also filed a murder case at the Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court. Nine persons including former OC of Teknaf police station Pradeep Kumar Das and inspector Liaqat Ali were accused in the case.
Pradeep and others are currently on remand by the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), which is investigating the case.
After Sinha was killed, police conducted a drive at Nilima Resort in Ramu, where the retired major and his three coworkers were staying to make travel documentaries.
Police seized some evidences related to the case and arrested Shipra from there.

In a video of the drive at the Nilima Resort, it was seen that police were seizing bullets, hard disk, and laptop.
Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-3 Judge Md Helal Uddin heard two appeals – one made by Md Shafiqul Alam, sub-inspector or Himchhari police camp in Ramu, on August 17 and another by Biman Chnadra Karmakar, additional superintendent of police from Rab-15, on August 18.
After the hearing, the court ordered the officer-in-charge of Ramu police station to submit a written explanation for the delay in submitting the list of evidences.
