According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers are planning to rewrite the song amidst severe backlash. And to avoid legal repercussions from the Beyonce team.
Beyonce, her daughter, and her husband as well all have trademarked their names. Thus, using her name in the song could land the "Khaali Peeli" team into a legal battle.
The song contains inciting lyrics the likes of- "Tujhe dekh ke goriya, Beyoncé sharma jayegi". These particular lyrics have been called out by the audience.
The film has been under fire since its first trailer as it has a nepotism link, Ananya Pandey. The film will see a digital release on Zee Plex on October 2, 2020
