Actor Mohiuddin Bahar is no more
He will be buried at Dayaganj cemetery after Asr today
Popular actor Mohiuddin Bahar has passed away at 5am on Monday. He was 63.
His eldest son Moin Uddin informed his death to the media, reports Jagonews.
Mohiuddin Bahar had been suffering from various health complications including heart and kidney problems for a long time. He was taken to Ibrahim Diabetic Hospital from his home in Dayaganj this morning after his condition deteriorated. Doctors pronounced him dead.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter, as well as many relatives and well-wishers. He will be buried at Dayaganj cemetery after Asr today.
Actor Mohiuddin Bahar was born on December 26, 1948 in Laxmipur village of Motbi union in Feni Sadar upazila. He retired in 2005 as a senior assistant secretary to the government.
Even after being a government employee, Bahar was addicted to acting. He was associated with various drama organisations from his school days. In 1986, he joined the theatre team Nagarik.
In 1978, Mohiuddin Bahar made his acting debut in BTV's children's series 'Rose Rose'. After that, he worked with many notable personalities including Humayun Ahmed and Gias Uddin Selim.
However, his biggest fame and recognition came with the popular magazine programme Ittadi. He worked on Ittadi for about 27 years on various inconsistencies in the society. Bahar's natural dialogue in the local language of Noakhali made the audiences laugh every time.
