Truck driver beaten to death as he runs over 2 goats
Golam Mostafa called his men chased the truck on 10 to 15 motorcycles for 16 kms
A truck driver was beaten to death by angry goat owner and his men after two goats were run over by the truck in Bagmara of Rajshahi.
The deceased driver Abu Taleb, 33, was a resident of Jhalmalia area of Puthia upazila.
Puthia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rezaul Islam said, "Two goats of Golam Mostafa of Bhabaniganj Shibjit area of Bagmara were hit by Abu Taleb's truck at around 7:30 pm on Friday. Golam Mostafa called his men chased the truck on 10 to 15 motorcycles for 16 kms.They caught Abu Taleb in Basupara of Puthia upazila around 8:15 pm. There, they beat him mercilessly."

"Later, the local people rescued the driver and admitted him to Puthia Upazila Health Complex. The truck driver succumbed to his injuries at around 3:30 am while undergoing treatment there," he added.
The OC said that preparations were underway to file a murder case at Puthia police station after collecting information about the people involved in the incident.
