300 illegal shops evicted from Kawran Bazar
The sudden eviction caused around Tk200 crore loss to the shopkeepers.
Dhaka North City Corporation today evicted around 300 illegal shops from capital's Kawran Bazar.
According to the shop owners, the authorities did not send any notice before conducting the drive.
General Secretary of Wood Traders' Association Ismail Molla said: "The sudden eviction caused around Tk200 crore loss to us."

"We are doing business here for about 50 years. Mayor Mohammad Hanif allocated the land to us," he claimed.
