Parents should bring their children to take these vitamin ‘A’ plus capsules to any hospital in the city-village, any clinic, or camps
The national Vitamin 'A' Plus campaign will start from 4th October aiming to administer A-plus capsules to around two crore 20 lakh children aged between six and 59 months.
This 13 day-long campaign will involve about 40,000 health workers. One lakh 20 thousand camps will be set up across the country to make this program a success, said the health minister at a press conference.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque met the press in the conference room of the Ministry of Health on Thursday to explain this Vitamin 'A' Plus campaign organised by the Health Services Division.

The health minister said, "Health workers have been trained to maintain health protocols. So, the children will be fed capsules with proper hygiene."
Parents should bring their children to take these vitamin 'A' plus capsules to any hospital in the city-village, any clinic, or camps, he added.
"Hopefully no child will be excluded from the campaign. Even if some get left out, they will be fed later. However, sick children will not be fed the capsule" said the minister.
Some 24 million children, aged between six and 12 months, will be given blue-coloured capsules; while around one crore 90 lakh children aged between one and five years will be fed red-coloured capsules.
