Sushant Singh’s family and supporters are protesting the AIIMS report on Twitter by trending #AllEyesOnCBI.
Sushant Singh's family and supporters are protesting the AIIMS report on Twitter by trending #AllEyesOnCBI.
On Saturday, a panel of AIIMS doctors termed Sushant's death 'a case of hanging and death by suicide'. In a report submitted to the CBI on September 29, the six-member team of forensic doctors said that there were 'no injuries on the body other than of hanging' nor was 'presence of any seductive material' detected, dismissing claims of strangulation and poisoning.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Shweta Singh Kirti has said that her attention is now focused on the Central Bureau of India's findings in the actor's death case, after an AIIMS panel tasked with re-evaluating his post-mortem report concluded that he died by suicide. Many, including the lawyer representing Sushant's father, had suggested that the actor could have been murdered.
Shweta in an Instagram post wrote, "The test of faith is when you can stay strong and unshaken during the testing time....I urge my extended family to have faith in God and pray from all your heart....Pray that the truth comes out. #AllEyesOnCBI." Sushant's ex-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande, reposted Shweta's message with the same hashtag.
'Queen' actor Kangana who has been actively vocal in Sushant Singh's death case has alleged that the Bollywood 'mafia' is responsible for his death.
"Young and extraordinary individuals don't just wake up one fine day and kill themselves. Sushant said he was being bullied and outcast, he feared for his life, he said movie mafia banned him and harassed him, he was mentally affected by being falsely accused of rape #AIIMS," Kangana tweeted.
In another tweet, Kangana again brought back her old charges. "With latest progress we need answers to few questions. 1) SSR repeatedly spoke about big production houses banning him. Who are these people who conspired against him? 2) Why media spread false news about him being a rapist? 3) Why was Mahesh Bhatt doing his psychoanalysis?"
Shekhar Suman has said that he is 'disappointed, dejected, despaired and disheartened' at the AIIMS report that rejected the murder theory in Sushant's death case.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, Shekhar wrote, "AIIMS report has come negative. I knew this would happen. It was a foregone conclusion. I've been warning for a long time that the case has been hijacked, diverted, mutilated. Disappointed, dejected, despaired, disheartened to so say the least."
He continued, "We all fought for Sushant's justice for so long selflessly, relentlessly, fearlessly, continuously. Sadly, the case went all over the place. There were so many loopholes. And some section of the media used it for its purpose. We have been taken for a ride by so many."
He added, "But we won't give up. Not yet. There is a tiny glimmer of hope still left when the CBI files its report. Even if that is adverse we shall keep fighting in our heart of hearts for we know the truth. And truth never dies. #SSRcase."
On the other hand, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is looking into the drugs angle related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The agency has seized mobile phones of over 45 people including Bollywood celebrities Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, DP's manager Karishma and drug peddlers and taking forward the investigation.
NCB has also opposed the bail plea of brother-sister duo Rhea and Showik, claiming that they are an active member of drug syndicate.
