Ananta Jalil: The king of outrageous dialogues
Ananta Jalil has once again become the subject of controversy. Here are four of his ridiculous dialogues from his equally ridiculous films.
"U pom Gana? (Are you from Ghana?) Where u pom? Gana or Africa? Which country pom...where... which…for…where you pom Africa?"
The given dialogues became a sensation when Ananta Jalil released his film "The Speed." The rest is history.
Remember the famous melt down of Ananta Jalil at a restaurant when one of his fans called him "Bangla cinema Hero?" Well, the "Din- The Day" actor just got himself involved in another controversy. In a YouTube video, the actor declared that women who wear revealing clothes invite "unwanted sexual advances." The video is titled "Ananta teaches rapists a lesson."
Needless to say, Ananta really knows how to pierce "arrow and bullet" within our heart with his over-the top dialogues.
Here is a list of four dialogues that will surely stir "Heart breaking blow" (Hridoy Bhanga Dheu) inside your heart. Don't worry. In order to help you decipher his English/Banglish dialogues we will also put the translation side by side.
Film: Most Welcome 2
"You labh me or hate me, I don't care"
(Indeed, "Labh" (love) or hate doesn't mean a thing to our pretty hero as long as he gets to romance Barsha on-screen)
Film: Most Welcome 2
"Bissho Shundori ra amar sathe prem korte queeee lege jabe, you understand?"
(Do you know that beautiful ladies from around the world are lining up in queue to be in a relationship with me?)
Yes. Aishwariya Rai and Angelina Jolie are currently standing in line for Ananta to call them back.
Film: Din- The Day:
"Chorer mukhe dhormer bani"
(A rogue doesn't listen to a discourse on honesty)
These words stands true for our great actor. Ananta had announced that he will not act in movies anymore as he had found his religious calling. But later, he had left his "religious clothing" to wear his famous "low-cut shirts," only to preach women not to wear "indecent clothes." Such sweet irony!
Film: Nissharto Bhalobasha
"Ami hospital ey operation ey thaka obosthay tumi arek joner sathe chutiye prem korecho. Tokhon thik ey bhabhe ekti teer eshe amar hridoy ke chidro kore dey."
(When I was in hospital for a surgery, you cheated on me with some other lover. You know what happened to me then? An arrow (read CGI arrow) pierced into my heart).
After all that piercing of arrows and bullets inside Ananta's CGI heart, his fans were stunned as to how he was alive. But as everyone knows already Ananta knows how to make impossible possible (pun intended).
Ananta Jalil might not be the best actor that this Industry has to offer. But surely he knows how to blow our mind with his superfluous dialogues.
