United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) has inaugurated an Islamic banking service named UCB Taqwa on Monday.
Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury inaugurated UCB Taqwa as chief guest in an inauguration ceremony held at UCB's corporate office in Dhaka said a press release issued by UCB.
Vice-Chairman of UCB and Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee Bazal Ahmed, Chairman of the executive committee of UCB Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny, Director of UCB Bashir Ahmed, Managing Director of UCB and member of Shariah supervisory committee Mohammed Shawkat Jamil, Shariah supervisory committee members Professor Dr AFM Akbar Hossain, Professor Dr KM Saiful Islam Khan, Dr Mohammed Nasir Uddin (Azhary), Dr Mohammad Manjurur Rahman and other senior executives were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
