Prime Bank, Pragati Life Insurance settle deposit scheme nominee’s claim
Md Abdul Ahad, buyer of the deposit scheme, succumbed to Covid-19 infection
Prime Bank Limited and Pragati Life Insurance Limited have promptly settled the insurance coverage claim of a nominee of a deposit scheme that was bought by a person who died from Covid-19.
The bank offers one of the industry's most lucrative deposit schemes titled "Prime Millionaire Scheme" with full insurance coverage.
As per the terms of the deposit scheme, in case of death or any permanent disability of the customer, the nominee of the scheme would receive the full amount payable at maturity.
As Md Abdul Ahad, a customer of a deposit scheme, unfortunately succumbed to Covid-19 infection, the bank immediately arranged to pay off the full amount at maturity to the nominee, said a press release from the Prime Bank on Tuesday.
Pragati Life Insurance, a renowned life insurance company of the country, acts as the insurance coverage provider of the deposit scheme.
Muhammed Misbah Ahmed, head of Prime Bank's Sreemangal branch, and Salauddin Akbar, general manager of Pragati Life Insurance Limited, Sylhet zone, jointly handed over a cheque for Tk10 lakh to nominee Jomila Khatun.
