Amazon to make TV series on horror movie 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'
The series will be based on the original 1973 novel by Lois Duncan
Amazon has announced that they are going to adapt 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer' into a TV series.
The series will be based on the original 1973 novel by Lois Duncan and will be headed for premiere in Amazon Prime Video, reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Amazon says the series is a modern take on the classic film but features a similar premise that includes a group of teens stalked by a killer after a fatal accident occurred during their graduation night.
The series will be written and executive produced by Sara Goodman, who previously wrote episodes of Preacher, Outsider, and Gossip Girl. It is being produced in partnership with Sony Pictures Television.
The 1997 movie was written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Jim Gillespie. It starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr.
