Language movement veteran Syed Abdul Malek passes away

Dr Syed Abdul Malek, a Language movement veteran, has passed away due to old age complications at the age of 92.
He breathed his last on Friday (October 16) at around 11am.
Dr Abdul Malek, son of late Syed Mohammad Hossain, was born in Uzirpur of Barishal.

He played an active role in the Language movement of 1952 when he was a student of Dhaka Medical College.
Dr Malek also treated countless freedom fighters in the Liberation War in 1971 as a CS Cum Chief Medical Officer in Tangail.
