Information minister free of Covid-19
Earlier, on 16 October 2020, Dr Mahmud tested positive for the coronavirus
Information Minister and Awami League's Joint General Secretary Hassan Mahmud has become free of coronavirus.
On Saturday night, his Covid-19 test came negative, read a press release.
Family members of the minister said that as a precautionary measure, his wife was also tested at the same time and her result too came negative.

During the pandemic, the minister regularly attended official work in the secretariat and took part in other programmes in compliance with the health regulations. He continued signing official documents even after being admitted to the hospital after being infected.
Earlier, on 16 October 2020, Dr Mahmud tested positive for the virus. He got admitted to the capital's Square Hospital and then to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital.
Currently, he is safe from the complications of the virus, said the family members.
