Hollywood celebrities who were supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris outpoured their excitement while stars who supported Donald Trump vented out their frustration of alleged voter fraud on social media.
Finally, the much-awaited US election 2020 result was announced on Saturday and Joe Biden has defeated Donald Trump to become the 46th President of the United States.
The Hollywood celebrities who were supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris outpoured their excitement on their social media account while stars who supported Donald Trump vented out their frustration of alleged voter fraud, reports Yahoo.
Here are some of the reactions of celebrities:
John Legend: The singer who had been quite vocal against the Trump government was quite ecstatic by Biden's win.
He wrote on his Twitter wall, "Congratulations to President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Harris! Thank you for choosing to serve your country during these challenging times."
Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga had been actively campaigning for Joe Biden. The singer urged supporters to "Vote like your children's lives depends on it, because they do" and performed several of her hit songs.
The singer captioned her Instagram post saying, ""@JoeBide @KamalaHarris and the American people, you just gave the world one of the greatest acts of kindness and bravery humanity has ever seen."
Jennifer Lopez: Jennifer Lopez shared a festive video of herself dancing on stage. "PRESIDENT BIDEN!!!!!!! VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS!"
Julia Louis-Dreyfus: The actress who played a former senator turned vice-president on the television show Veep tweeted, "'Madam Vice President'" is no longer a fictional character."
Reese Witherspoon: "Legally Blonde" actress shared her excitement on her Instagram account with the caption, "Today is a monumental day. No matter what side you are on, let's take a moment to recognize how far women have come in this country."
