Sheikh Rizia Naser, wife of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's younger brother Sheikh Abu Nasser, has passed away.
Rizia Naser, aunt of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, had been suffering from old age complications and died at the age of 85 around 8:50 pm on Monday at a hospital in the capital.
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed grief at the demise of Rizia Naser and gave their condolences to the bereaved family members.

Among the five sons of the late Sheikh Rizia Nasser, her eldest son Sheikh Helal Uddin is a Member of Parliament from Bagerhat-1 constituency, her second son Sheikh Salauddin Jewel is a Member of Parliament from Khulna-1 constituency, her third son Sheikh Sohail is a Presidium Member of Central Juba League and Sheikh Rubel and Sheikh Babu.
Her grandson Sheikh Tanmoy Sheikh Tanmoy is a Member of Parliament from Bagerhat-2 constituency.
